Trip review: Maldives

My beautiful, sexy little Tangs!!! Welcome back, I have missed you so much. I was in the shower yesterday night and I came up with the idea that I travel quite regularly around the globe so I could build a new section dedicated to that. It will not be as frequently written about as fashion or beauty but I will try to keep it updated as much as possible.

The first trip I want to tell you about is my small getaway to the Maldives last year with my boyfriend. We happened to be in India at that time and we had 3 days off so we decided to give it a try. We stayed at a super nice hotel called Saii Lagoon in an island close to Malé. Everything was amazing from the beginning, we took an early flight from Bombay and arrived there at around 11 in the morning. The boat trip was around 15 minutes and we had the fanciest welcome on arrival.

As it was low season, we also received an upgrade from a beach room to a beach villa. The feeling of just walking a few steps out of the back porch and being already at the beach was completely out of this world.

The water in the island was so clear you could literally see the bottom from any spot of the coast, crystal clear and turquoise blue. In the nights, crabs were coming out so we had to be careful!

The whole resort was walkable although some distances were too big to be covered on foot, specially when the minimum temperature was 30ºC, but there was a boogie service available for transfers within the island.

There were many bars and restaurants but we spent most afternoons in this one, having cocktails in the infinity pool. I had the best bloody maries of my existence.

Because we were a couple, the reservation included a complimentary romantic photoshoot at the beach, from which one printed copy of a photo of our choice was included and we could then purchase the digital version of all photos we liked. So boogie.

The sunset at the beach was probably my favourite part of the whole experience, there is just something magical about the hour of twilight, call me a hopeless romantic. Anyway… I really hope you enjoyed this section and that I will have the patience to write more about my little trips. I hope you have a great weekend and see you soon my precious little Tang jewels!!!!! Kisses!!!!!
