Hello hellooo!! My beautiful little Tangs!! I’m feeling inspired and not working so much these days so I thought “let’s write another post!”. Winter is coming, my dudes, and we gotta get ready for it. Today I wanna share with you my list of Fall-Winter go-to items that I could never miss in my closet.
Disclaimer: these are MY staples for MY taste and MY style, you may or may not have the same needs or likes or tastes or whatever, so the deal with this post is to find whatever it is that cannot go missing from your closet in this FW season. Stay tuned!!
- A black turtleneck
I can’t live without it. Futhermore, it’s not even a turtleneck, it’s a perkins neck. It looks much better because you don’t look like an ostrich while wearing it.

(FYI this is a perkins neck, like a turtleneck but a little bit shorter, thank me later).
2. Black boots
Always heeled, never flat, pls. I have two pairs actually, one is knee-high and the other one is overknee. Honestly, I like the overknee more but I struggle a lot to find them because I have a foot size 36 and usually these kind of boots are short for my legs (I’m 1,65 I’m not like super tall), which is super frustrating. I managed to find the perfect pair in Germany but now they look all worn and used and I’m back in the hunt.
If they are leather or faux leather, even better, suede boots are really not convenient because surprise: if it rains you cannot wear them, sad.
3. Long black coat
When I say long I mean mid calf, those are the best looking and they will always be a classic. Am I giving you all black staples? Yes I am, because black goes with literally everything my little Tangs.
Invest on a good coat because then you will be able to keep it for years. I understand the normal price for a garment like this is around 70-120 euros, but if you do spend a little bit more you might find a very good quality piece that will last you ages. And trust me, even if you get tired of it, you will always be able to sell it online and get back part of what you paid.
4. Taylored trousers
Choose your favourite colour, it doesn’t matter. A pair of taylored pants will save on uncountable times from the suffer of not knowing what to wear. It goes with a shirt, a perkins neck, a t-shirt, even a blouse. Look for one, any colour, trust me on this one.
Pair them with nice shoes and you can make a million combinations. Try to get them in a solid colour and not with a pattern because if you do, you will be limiting yours and your closet’s chances.
5. Mary Janes or similar shoes
They are comfortable, classy and everywhere now. You can find them with or without heel, with platform, glossy, matt, you name it! They look good and elevate your look, I don’t know what you’re waiting for.
If you’re not into such girlie shoes, I would suggest loafers. There are super nice pairs with track soles that go with literally anything, even with jeans. Give them a chance.
6. Black (faux) leather bag
Choose the brand and the shape but you need one of these if you don’t have it already. Be careful because most of them will be coming with chains and you want to match your jewels or shoe details (if any). I always have my little Chanel bag with me, it goes with literally any of my outfits in FW and I’m mostly wearing gold accessories so it’s perfect.
I’m not a fashion dictator (sadly) and I cannot tell people what to wear, but I hope you liked this little post and that you were able to identify what your staples are. FYI I’m starting very soon my personal shopper certification course so you will hear a lot about fashion, colorimetry and much more. Stay tuned and keep up with working on yourselves, KISSES!!! <3
