LITAS, yay or nay?

Helloooo again my precious Tangs!! It has come to my ears that LITAS by Jeffrey Campbell are making a comeback?????? If you guys know anything, let me know ASAP.

(This is LITAS, in case you didn’t know, highlight photo: Pinterest)

I think I speak for all millenials when I say LITAS were our dream shoe. I didn’t have money when I was 14 to buy the original ones and of course my mum wouldn’t let me wear such a chunky heel (if I could even walk on those at 14) but when I was in University I bought a pair of dupes (I tripped in the middle of the campus cause the floor was wet and the soles were just not it), I kept them for a couple years and then I think I either resold them or donated them, I can’t really remember.

From my point of view, I see the convenience of a shoe like that and I understand a lot of women still have them in the depths of their closets. First of all, it’s extremely comfortable, you guys please don’t be scared of the heel because they have a very nice platform on top that reduces the angle on the feet and also they provide a lot of stability, unlike other platform shoes I’ve worn.

Two years ago I was completely mesmerized by the Versace platform heels and I even bought dupes from Aliexpress because I wanted to try the vibe (which weren’t too stable honestly) but then I received a lot of feedback from people with the original shoes that told me they weren’t stable at all. Comfortable? Yes. A danger to your ankles? Also yes. But this isn’t the case with the LITAS.

Now that I’m a grown woman with a real job and real money, I would honestly consider buying an original pair of Jeffrey Campbells, 180 euros (depending on the site) is a big price but I could just save for them, but at the same time I think about it and realize it would all be just nostalgia. Do I really like them? Maybe. Do I miss the time when I liked them? Yes, absolutely. We all want to feel like a teenager every once in a while, I suppose.

So do let me know what you think about the chunky heels, I truly believe they would be a very nice shoe to come back to the streets, rather than some outrageous pairs I keep seeing. But anyway, see you in my next post and thank you very much for reading!!!!
