HEY TANGS! Festive season has started, spooky season is gone but Christmas is around the corner, so you might as well wonder what drinks you’ll be having this winter season. As a cocktail enthusiast, I’ll share with you a list of my 6 favourite mixes, you might know all or none, but at least I’m sure I’ll make it easier for you to choose yours next time. Enjoy!!!

  1. Bloody Mary

There’s no in-between, you either love it or hate it. It is personally my favourite cocktail in the world. The fact that you can have a salty cocktail just somehow amazes me. For those of you who don’t know, bloody mary is usually prepared with vodka, tomato juice, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, tabasco, salt and pepper.

2. Mai Tai

This is a very tricky drink because it’s more on the strong side, I would recommend you have only one of these because they will beat you up. It’s very fresh and tasty. There are many versions but what you will usually find is dark rum, white rum, orange curaçao, fresh lemon juice and almond syrup.

3. Puerto de Indias Gin Tonic

Puerto de Indias is a Spanish Premium Gin elaborated at one of the oldest Andalusian distilleries, located in the town of Carmona (Sevilla). It’s a really popular liquor in Spain due to its sweet and tasty flavour. I like to mix it with Fever-tree aromatic tonic water (it’s pink), lemon or lime juice and handful of frozen berries.

4. Margarita

Honestly, who doesn’t like margaritas? Nothing to say here, guys, sorry. If you don’t like margaritas then we can’t be friends.

5. Moscow Mule

My sister introduced me to this cocktail and honestly I’m obsessed. It’s super easy to make and really refreshing. It was born in LA during the 40s and took root as part of a marketing campaign by a fledgling vodka company. The recipe is basically vodka, lemon juice and ginger beer but I have made it at home with ginger ale as well and, even though you will not get the same taste, it’s still delicious.

6. Mango Passionfruit Spritz

I discovered this cocktail almost by mistake. I saw an offer in my local supermarket: Smirnoff Mango Passionfruit vodka. I thought it was a funny mix and decided to try it, if you go on the Smirnoff webpage they have a very nice list of cocktails you can make with their different flavoured vodkas. For this one you will just need mango and passionfruit vodka, prosecco and lemonade. It’s simple but effective.

I really really really hope you enjoyed, it’s a different topic and I think it’s a good idea to make cocktails at home whenever you need to wind down and relax. Thank you once again and I’ll see you on my next post. Kisses!!!!!!!!
